The owners of this refined contemporary kitchen love to entertain friends and family.
Our design gives them an inclusive and sociable setting with guests close to the cooking. This means they can chat and enjoy the build-up while putting the finishing touches to dinner.
We’ve used a UK manufactured, contemporary kitchen design. High quality Buster & Punch feature handles add a deluxe level of additional detail.
The sink run is clad on 4 sides in Dekton, turning it into a standout feature. The dining area dropping down off of the island defines distinct usage zones in the space.
Expansive worktops and that island give a kitchen design like this ample cooking space. A tall corner larder backs this up, providing generous storage for dried foods and other goods.
We boxed the kitchen in to the ceiling, carefully paint-matching the infill to the kitchen doors. This gives the finished room the look of having been slotted into place perfectly between floor and ceiling.
Enormous glazed bifold doors provide a wonderfully light and airy feel. Bespoke, black track, inset ceiling lighting follows the cabinets to add further to the air of elegance.
We can put up a pretty good argument for either a traditional or contemporary kitchen.
Traditional kitchen styles tend to work nicely in period properties. They provide the full range of modern conveniences but with an appearance that’s in keeping with the house’s original features.
That said, a contemporary kitchen (which always looks great in a modern property), can also look amazing in an older house. The sense of modernity it introduces can really complement the more traditional setting.
Think hard. Ending up with a kitchen you love is all about your own taste and style.
